Went camping in Stephen C. Foster State Park in April and it was a nice respite from the daily grind. This remote park is at the entrance to the legendary Okefenokee Swamp.
We pulled my cousins 28 ft travel trailer and camped for 2 nights at their campground. The facilities were adequate with a few bathhouse facilities on two loops. Each campsite had a fire ring/grill, a picnic table, and two water spigots as well as electric. A central dump station was available near the bathhouse. There we several trails and thanks to El Niño, even the marshy prairie was dry enough to traverse without any slogging necessary. We spotted all sorts of wildlife, including a doe who was happily having a midday snack. Here are some pics.
